Equipped with a skilled and trained technical team, we are prepared to respond effectively in a variety of scenarios.

The group consists of professionals from a wide range of fields, including veterinarians, animal scientists, agronomists, engineers, physical educators, biologists, lawyers, oceanographers, photographers, and civilian firefighters, among others.

Our diverse experience and technical capabilities allow us to effectively act in a different scenarios.

GRAD currently receives support from the Regional Veterinary Medicine Councils of the affected states, as well as the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Minas Gerais (MPMG), the National Forum for Animal Protection and Defense (FNDPA), and the Federal Veterinary Medicine Council.

Despite having a large group of volunteers, GRAD consistently relies on the support of local volunteers and veterinarians. The organization also works in alignment with official agencies such as Civil Defense, the Military Fire Department, the Military Police, the Municipal Guard, the Executive Branch, among others.

MISSION

To rescue and support animals and multi-species families in vulnerable situations during disasters. We aim to enhance community resilience through lectures, training sessions, and preventive initiatives, fostering a culture of safety and shared responsibility. Additionally, we work in partnership with non-governmental organizations, government agencies, and local communities to create disaster response plans grounded in the principles of One Health.

VISION

One Health emphasizes the deep interconnection between people, animals, and the environment—a relationship that becomes especially evident during disasters, where impacts on one element often affect the others. Guided by this principle, our highly skilled multidisciplinary team implements actions that prioritize both prevention and response to disasters, with a strong focus on animal welfare. We are dedicated to fostering meaningful, long-term societal change, advancing collective well-being, and promoting sustainability.
